The Great Battle

Introduction
The Great Battle is a book about all the characters on this site. I've never finshined it, and i'm not the best writer. Below is the two story's written from two different perspectives. Enjoy, i know i didn't making them!

The Great Battle (Version 1)
Unreal
The Great Battle.
… At last you have made it out of the planets large gravity, and now you have a new problem… the Bodega Bay in orbit. The giant ship captained by Captain Cutloose fires a missile at you, but it is a small missile. You steer near the ship causing the missile to hit the ship temporarily shutting it long for you go in to hyperspace to out run it.
Not to long afterwards your small ship is pulled from hyperspace by a powerful force, which rocked the ship back and forth down. 10 minutes later you crash into a hill destroying the engines forever. You quickly make camp for the night, and watch your back because of the population of Skaarj in this place.
Luckily the commutation in the ship was not harmed and a day later a message came in with a map. It was from Cutloose, he wanted you to make a trip to X on the map for a battle. It seems that he wants you because you know every thing about the Skaarj and their slaves. There will be a battle when you get there between the Skaarj and the humans. You swear it off saying you have risked your life running form both the Skaarj and the Bodega Bay. But something in the message that sparks your attention-there was a part about how you will never be hunted by anyone. The message breaks up after a while but you didn’t hear the end of the message. You are very interested in that last part, so you decide to take the mission.
You have traveled a full day when you come a cross a camp. The camp is a small one but the flame is a strange green. Something shiny catches your eye. It turns out to be a new kind of automag. On the side it says it’s called an enforcer. But then suddenly out of the shadows leaps a Skaarj Trooper. You quickly pick up the enforcer and take down the Skaarj. Amazingly the new weapon doesn’t need any ammo.
The next day of traveling brings you to a village of nali. The buildings were small and smoke was coming out of almost all of the houses. Behind them was a church tower like the one back on the other planet. Every sign you come by is written in a strange language, luckily you still have the translator form the Vortex Rikers. Once you get to the tower a nali at the door tells you to stop and points at your gun. You reluctantly you put it down in a bush and go inside. Surprisingly it is exact same one. Knowing the temple you find the secret passageway, you drive up the elevator and instead of a flak cannon it turns out to a light saber. You pick it up and realize it is a real light saber. You stuff it in your pocket and head down stairs. When you get to the first floor there is another surprise, a team of Krall were gambling in the middle of church. You quickly scramble inside to find they had vanished. But this time a hunting party of nali was waiting to meet you. This is getting a little weird for you so instead of killing them, you run like hell.
After you loose the hunting party you find yourself in an interesting field were there were been a large creature had stomped thru. Suddenly the ground stared shaking like a light earthquake and you quickly hide for cover. A huge breast with mythological armor with a strange claw for a hand walked into the field with a roar. On his shoulder was a nali cow. He threw against a rock, knocking it unconscious. He then raised his hand and a large blot of light flew towards the cow and destroyed it into many pieces. The mythological breast then ate the pieces and walked off. Looking at the translator you find what that was and how it came to be:
“Once the Alies were a group of human beings. Until the Skaarj came to their land. They made a deal with the Alie clan rather that they would give them power over the other clans. They took dozens of people and mutated them into horrifying monsters, until they were the Alies of today. The Alies were horrified about what happened to their people. The mutations caused them to become angry and disloyal. They soon hated the Skaarj and cutoff the deal, but it was to late, all their people had become that way. They did much killing all the time. Soon all but a few of the clans were left alive. Because of their mutated bodies the Alies are hard to pick up with scanners or radar. Luckily they have no space faring technology. Also, when they find spacecrafts, they either destroy because of their hatred for Skaarj, or they guard it so the Skaarj, or anyone else, doesn’t get it.”
Now that the horror was over you have decided that the Alies are a force to be reckoned with. You wonder what the Skaarj were thinking when that happened. At lest the Skaarj paid a dear price for mistake. Right there you swear that they will pay for the pain they put you throw, as you escaped from the planet Na Pali twice.
Two days of traveling you gone since the Alie you come across a strange box marked UMS. You blast the crate open and to your surprise it was empty. Suddenly a strange blue beam came from the sky and landed were the box was. You suddenly realize what it was and yell “Battle transport” and duck for cover. But another surprise, a human came out instead of a Spacemarine. You have never seen this person before. He is tall and well built; he sees your hiding place and shouts in a well-known voice to you, “Katrina Ashfelt, my name is Roy Cutloose”…

After a long introduction you learn that he has come here to finally defeat the Skaarj once and for all. His higher officers thought that he was crazy and couldn’t try it until now. Back on Na Pali you despised him for his not understanding of the danger he got you into. Now you see that Cutloose is a thoughtful and charming person to be with. His personality far what you excepted for a captain who betrayed you and tried to kill you.
A few days later you were talking over a campfire when a message from his ship told him that a large force of Skaarj were gathering near a clearing. It was now time to fight the great battle between humans and Skaarj. The captain called back to his ship and requested that they beam down his personal weapons from his quarters. Soon enough a beam of light appeared and the captain picked an enforcer and a light saber identical to the ones you found on the way there.
There you were just a mile away from the battle. Carifles and Skaarj weapons were going off in the distance. Soon a large humming noise took over that sound. Captain Cutloose and you almost instantly know the sound was from a Skaarj battle ship heading in to attack position. A large explosion burst though the air blasting you back. When you recover you run a quickly to where the blast happened. The field was completely destroyed; all except for what looked liked a purple, glowing force field. Inside it kept three kralls, a mercenary, a Skaarj and a spacemarine. You wonder how it was constructed. You stand out side the field waiting for it to fade away as the people inside battle on. When it does, you and Roy, as you were instructed to call him, help the last spacemarine out. He and the last Skaarj were to only ones to survive the deadly blast. Without warning a large thumping noise enters the now divested field. Only you and the Skaarj are the ones what it is. It is an Alie; you shout and take cover. The towering Alie stamps into the field, attacks the Skaarj, killing two of the weaker kralls, before being driven off by the others.
Knowing that thing may come back, your team retreats to a safe distance. You sit and think of a strategy of how you and your team were going to get out of this crisis. The odd weren’t good. The Skaarj team still had all of their strongest creatures on their side. All you had was a spacemarine, you, and Cutloose. Once you were far away from the battleground, you talk to the rest of your group. The spacemarine tells his sad tail:
“My name is Duke Robear .I was born to be a technician, at an early age I would always pick fights with my friends. At 12 I learned I wanted to be a soldier, but a technician can’t change jobs just like that. I was incredibly smart and talented. It was my designs that created the light saber model, like the one you have right now. But someone stole the notes and designs at night, and is now a major. My first love was always being a soldier. I was lucky enough to sneak aboard the ship heading here as a space marine. The only way I’ve been surviving so far is with my technology. I was the only one to know that the Skaarj vehicle because I used the suit’s wires to enhance my senses. When they dropped the bomb I had constructed a force field, and enhanced it for a wider area, hoping to get some others in the field, but instead, I got those other enemies in to it.”

The Great Battle (Version 2, Expertimental)
The Great Battle
By: David Pugh, and Rob Ducat
“Sensors detect signs of a horrific battle on the ground.” Reported the ensign, her fingers flying over the control. “I’m not detecting any life signs, but it seems that it happened a long time ago.”
“Well, we’d better send someone down to check it out.” Replied the captain.

“Hey, Marshal, captain says its your turn for the away mission.” A calmly dressed man said. He was tall with dark hair, light green eyes, and a proud posture.
“I know, I can’t believe the captain picked me to be the only one to go down to the planet. I mean, I know I’m the best scientist on this ship, but I guess I have no choice.” Replied the extremely intelligent, and remarkably beautiful young woman. Marshal, a rather short wit dark hair and brown eyes seemed nervous. She knew how dangerous this planet had been in the past; the Skaarj heavily controlled this area until they were mysteriously driven out. “ Well, wish me luck”
With that she headed down the hall, unaware of what she’d find.

Log entry
“I’ve decided to keep this log entry instead of filing a report, it’s much easier. The planet is earth like and the water is clear. There seem to be no life, but there are signs of a giant battle spanning 100 kilometers in diameter. It’s taken me an entire month to scout the entire region. This place is so strange, a monstrous castle right in the center that hasn’t been touched in this mist of ancient mess. Even stranger, the area of “The Great Battle” as I’m calling it, has some of the weirdest characterizes on the planet. There are eight different bases throughout the land, one on an island in the lake to the east of the castle.”

Log Entry
“Upon closer inspection of all the bases and the castle I have discovered 34 log books detailing what happened here 150 years ago. Not only that, but the logs contain logs from almost all the head species of this galaxy. I’m sending the logs back to the ships as soon as I’m done analyzing them…”

Information on People in logs
It is my understanding that 33 of the books belong to eight t teams that fought for something I have yet to translate, and the other is in a language I’ve never seen before. The eight teams are as follows…
Team Blue: Rage
The team came from the outpost on Jupiter Shadow as did all teams come from a planet.
The names go as follow: Captain Roy Cutloose, their leader. Katrina Ashfelt, it’s obvious they were interested in each other, but it’s unclear if it was more. Duke Robear, second in command, a spacemarine out of the armies of the past. Commander Deathmarch, a newer version, but highly exclusive, nothing more is found on him.
Team Red: Skaarj
The team is from the Skaarj Home world and highly aggressive.
The names only contain rank and last name for some odd reason. Their leader is General Natak, nothing more can be concluded. The rest are Lt. Serker, Major Deserter, and Private Twisted. Private Twisted is an early experiment by the Skaarj as a genetically engineered creation.
Team Gold: Rush
This team hails from the ancient planet called Earth.
The leader is Colonel David Waterfield, much is not known of him. His Second in command is Commander Doublecross, has a very suggestive nature suggesting that these may not be there real names; most of the names may be tries to intimate the other teams. Sgt Meca is next, I unfortunately cannot say anymore about her until I study her more. The final member is Lt. MemoreX, yet another newer version of the spacemarine, and just like Deathmarch, little is known about him.
Team Green: Bioutopia
They made their residence in the long extinct planet Cartria.
This team is made of perfectos outcasts who believe in the perfect bioengineered society. Their leader it Commander Montag, a robot once used in the grand tournament that was captured and reprogrammed. Next up is Private Teauge, a man from the race called necres; his undead appearances gave him the perfect edge. After him is Sgt. Fructose, a nali that joined when they came to this planet. The last member of the team is General Dismay, a Skaarj Snake-like hybrid.
